My love affair with photography started in 1986 when, as a teenager, I saved up enough to buy my first proper camera - an old-school Canon T70 that used 35mm film - from which I taught myself the fundamentals.
Over the years, higher education and the rat race took up the majority of my time until 2003 when I found myself made redundant from my IT Management job. Not only did this give me the opportunity to get behind a camera again but to apply previously gained IT skills to digital photography.
I have always upheld the belief - 'You create the picture, the camera captures it.'
My work has been highly commended in the International Emerging Artist Awards in Dubai - featuring in their best picks - and in the Eversure Photographer of the Year Award. One of my images is also on the wall of the renowned Nikon School gallery in London.
