My love affair with photography started in 1986 when, as a teenager, I saved up enough to buy my first proper camera - an old-school Canon T70 that used 35mm film - from which I taught myself the fundamentals.
Over the years, higher education and the rat race took up the majority of my time until 2003 when I found myself made redundant from my IT Management job. Not only did this give me the opportunity to get behind a camera again but to apply previously gained IT skills to digital photography.
I have always upheld the belief - 'You create the picture, the camera captures it.'
My work has been highly commended in the International Emerging Artist Awards in Dubai and also features in their best picks. One of my images is on the wall of the renowned Nikon School gallery in London.
